Show Pins and Memorabilia

Standard

The first few times I attended a quilt show, I had no idea that they offered show pins. These are usually $5 to $10 and are custom-designed for each show. They make great souvenirs! I now have more than 20 pins that were — until recently — sitting in a ziplock bag beside my computer.

When I made this challenge piece for MQX East, I realized that it would be a great piece to display my show pins. We mounted it on a curtain rod in my longarm room. This weekend, I added my two ribbons from the Eastern Long Island Quilt Guild show. Now I’m kinda like the kid who keeps her soccer trophies on a bookcase in the bedroom for all to see. It doesn’t matter; it makes me smile every time I enter the room.
